MARTIN joined the Bees full-time in 2005 after impressing in a short spell the previous year, and he quickly became a firm favourite with the Coventry fans.

He was desperately unlucky with injuries last season in particular, but having had a relatively injury-free 2007, he has again shown his worth and increased his scoring at just the right time of the campaign.

Martin spent much of August and September in the main body of the team and more than played his part in the play-off successes against Poole and Swindon - and can count himself highly unfortunate to miss out on a Wild Card place for his home Grand Prix in Germany.
